Private Markets & Alternative Investments

Liquidity is not a bug. It's a premium

Blended: Virtual Live + In Person36 sessions / 72 hoursApril–June 2026

Program Description

This is where the edge lies. This is the institute's flagship program, designed for those who already understand public markets and now seek depth: private equity, venture capital, private debt, real estate, digital assets, hedge funds and evergreen funds. It is not a product catalog. It is a roadmap for building real strategies with non-traditional assets.

Eleven parts, 36 sessions and 72 hours. The journey runs from an introduction to the alternative universe — an industry of roughly USD 22 trillion, accounting for close to 15% of global financial assets — to operational detail: due diligence of private debt funds, custody and regulation of digital assets, financial modeling and valuation of private companies, structuring of PE/VC deals, fiduciary structures for individuals and family offices, real estate, hedge funds, and an integrative module on valuation, packaging and manager due diligence with applicable checklists. It closes with Luxury & Art as Alternative Investments: art, watches, collector cars and tokenization.

The faculty is international: Luis Seco, professor at the University of Toronto and director of RiskLab; Jaume Bonet, director of the graduate finance programs at EADA Business School Barcelona; Gary DeWaal, former Senior Counsel at Katten Muchin Rosenman; Eugene Towle, managing partner of Softec; Ariel Fischman, founder of 414 Capital; Karina Caudillo, Regional Manager of OKX for Latin America; Carlo Lombardo, Country Head of LarrainVial; Rodrigo Sánchez Lerma, VP of Venture Capital at Fondo de Fondos; Amicorp Group; Marian Villafañe, founder of ARTVIA; and Mariana Garza.

General Objective

Gain comprehensive knowledge of private market investments and alternative assets, and of how to incorporate them strategically into a family's wealth. Upon completion, participants will know how to evaluate opportunities in private debt, digital assets, private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge funds and innovative structures such as evergreen funds, and will develop the skills to analyze private companies, structure investment deals and understand the distinctive risk, liquidity and return characteristics of these non-traditional assets.

  • 02Evaluate private debt funds: direct lending, mezzanine and distressed, with credit analysis and manager due diligence.
  • 03Integrate digital assets into wealth planning: blockchain, stablecoins, tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), DeFi, custody and regulatory frameworks (MiCA, SEC/CFTC).
